Named the best liberal arts college in the nation by US News and World Report, Amherst is nestled in Massachusetts' Pioneer Valley. The school was founded in 1821 and enrolls 1600 students. The 1000-acre campus is adjacent to downtown Amherst and is home to the Dickinson Homestead, where Emily Dickinson wrote the vast majority of her poems and letters and the Frost Library where many of her original manuscripts are kept. You'll also get a great view of the Holyoke Mountain range from the campus War Memorial.

Consistently ranked by the local five colleges as the "the best pizza you will ever have," this classic college town eatery offers over 20 "crazy but delicious toppings" including pesto w cheese tortellini, spicy chicken with blue cheese, or potato with bacon and cheddar. While you can expect a crowd anytime past 9pm the excellent service promises a quick turnaround. Many local students freely state that Antonio's is the number one reason to attend college in the Pioneer Valley.

Founded in 1863, Boston College is one of the oldest Jesuit universities in the United States. Located just outside Boston proper, the school enrolls 8,900 undergraduate and 4,600 graduate students. The university's 116-acre main campus is six miles from downtown Boston, with direct access to the city via trolley. Gasson Hall, the University's signature building built in 1913 and named for the school president that moved the campus from Boston to Newton, is home to the McMullen Museum of Art. The campus features four examples of English Collegiate Gothic architecture Gasson Hall, St. Mary's Hall, Bapst Library, and Devlin Hall, as the original architects for the school envisioned an "Oxford in America."

McMullen Museum of Art

Boston College's McMullen Museum is known primarily for its special exhibitions ranging from medieval religious objects to contemporary works by Irish women artists. The permanent collection permanent spans the history of art from Europe, Asia and the Americas, including Gothic and Baroque tapestries, 16th- and 17th-century Italian paintings, and American landscape paintings of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
